Mission: Memories Among The Stars
Location: USS Endeavor
Timeline: 2393 - Before Mojave

Yesrin woke at zero five hundred, dressed in her workout attire, grabbed her Bat'leth, and was off to Holo Deck 2 for an hour workout practicing martial arts to stay in shape along with gradually advancing her skills. After an hour of an intense workout she exited the Holo deck and was on her way back to her quarters for a much needed shower. Minutes later, as Yesrin walked along, her comm sounded "Lieutenant JG Rey here."

"Good morning I hope I didn't wake you. Please swing by my Ready Room before you start your shift, there's something I'd like to discuss with you" the Captain explained with the order attached.

"No you didn't wake me Sir, I was up early for my workout. I'll drop by before my shift begins as you've requested. Rey out." Picking up the pace a little to get back to her quarters she couldn't help but wonder as to why the Captain wanted to see her so early.

After showering and donning a crisp, clean uniform Yesrin grabbed a cup of tea and some sweet biscuits for a quick light breakfast, When finished she grabbed her duty PaDD slipping it in her right thigh pocket as was her usual manner. Securing her quarters she stepped onto the nearest Lift "Deck 1" she stated being a little nervous meeting with the Captain so early.

Exiting the lift Yesrin made her way to the Ready Room, Seeing the door was open she knocked on the door jam then stood tall waiting to be recognized by her C.O.

Looking up from his work he set his PaDD aside then stood with a smile "Lieutenant J.G.Rey please come in and make yourself comfortable; can I offer you a beverage."

Walking in "No thank you Captain Henderson, I'm good" as she took the offered seat.

Sitting back down "I suppose you're wondering why I've asked to see you so I won't keep you in suspense any longer. I've been revisiting your personal file recently, and coupled with the excellent discharge of your duties, I think it's high time you were promoted; please stand" Henderson ordered as he grabbed a new set of pips from his drawer then stood as well with a smile "It is my honor and privilege as your Captain to hereby promote you to the rank of full Lieutenant with all of the rights and privileges that entails" as he extended his hand "Congratulations Lieutenant Yesrin Lyn Rey" he stated before rounding his desk "May I?"

After shaking his hand, with a smile and the nod of her head Captain Henderson removed the old set of pips before placing the new set in their place "Thank you Sir, this is a very pleasant, unexpected surprise and I won't disappoint you Captain" Yesrin replied being quite happy at the moment.

"You deserve the promotion and I know you will continue to do your very best executing your duties" then with a grin "So off to your station before I change my mind; dismissed" he ordered jokingly as she did an about turn and proceeded to Helm with a big smile on her face.

Sitting at Helm Yesrin logged into her station when the First Officer walked over with a smile "Good Morning Lieutenant Rey" she commented in a loud enough voice so the entire Bridge could hear "Congratulations on your promotion to Lieutenant; you deserve it."

Looking to her left "Thank you Ma'am, it certainly was a pleasant and unexpected surprise" Yesrin replied with a smile.

"Yes the Captain and I had discussed it late yesterday and felt the promotion was overdue" she stated before returning to her seat.

Getting back to the matter at hand Yesrin felt all warm and fuzzy inside being recognized for all her hard work....it was nice to be noticed.

Minutes later the Captain walked onto the Bridge "We have just received new orders from Star Fleet. Helm lay in a course to Star Base 395, best speed" Henderson ordered "It seems there's a buildup of ships at the border of the Tamarian system and we're one of four ships ordered to the area."

Proceeding as ordered Yesrin's hands flew over the controls "Sir, course laid in going to warp eight point five on your order" she replied hands at the ready.

"Make it happen Lieutenant" and with that she initiated warp speed.

Hours later "Captain we're thirty minutes from Star Base 395" Yesrin informed command.

"Excellent. Take us to warp 4, steady as she goes Lieutenant" the Captain stated.

"Aye Sir" she replied just before Tactical called out "Captain sensors show an unidentified ship advancing on our starboard quickly.....and they'll be on us in five minutes."

"Yellow Alert!" the First Officer called out. Minutes later Tactical called out again "Sir they're powering up their weapons."

Standing "Red Alert! Helm drop us out of warp, full impulse and get us in an offense posture. Tactical bring weapons online....target their weapons array....phasers...full spread on my order" Henderson stated with everyone doing as ordered.

Rey could see the approaching ship's position on her screens, thinking for a very brief moment she hard banked to port using vector six eight point seven which arced the Endeavor around placing her directly behind the other ship.

"Tactical fire!!" Henderson ordered.

Seconds later "Direct hit Captain....their weapons are now offline and they're retreating" Tactical called out.

"Stand down Red Alert. Great job everyone. Helm get us into one thousand kilometers from the border. Full stop and go to station keeping" the Captain ordered.

"Aye Sir, as you wish" Yesrin replied carrying out the orders.

The Endeavor remained in position, with three other ships joining the group, for the next twenty four hours but everything remained quiet from the opposition.
